Hyphocus Island

EKISTICS is leading the planning and rezoning process for Hyphocus Island, a waterfront site in Ucluelet envisioned as a small-scale, locally grounded residential community.

The proposal focuses on delivering a modest number of thoughtfully designed homes that respond to Ucluelet’s coastal character, environmental context, and housing needs. The project emphasizes housing diversity, sensitive siting, and long-term stewardship, while strengthening connections to the surrounding neighbourhood and natural landscape.

Our role includes overall land use planning, development strategy, public engagement support, consultant coordination, and representation through Council and Public Hearing processes. The intent is to advance a well-crafted, community-oriented neighbourhood that contributes positively to Ucluelet’s long-term growth.
